Positive aspects:
Very pretty City, we took the dinner at the hotel, the food was good.
Negative aspects:
The half of the City center was under renovation so we saw only the other half of the ciry!! It's a damage because it's a long way to drive until Zamosc. |

Positive aspects:
quite relaxing, less crowded than the big cities,good place for sightseeing
Negative aspects:
Sounds of construction wake us up very early in the morning( around 7:00 am), but it stop for the rest of the day. We feel a bit strange about it. |

Very beautiful central square, relaxed atmosphere and good value prices.
Negative aspects:
Little to see outside the main square and therefore one day is the maximum required to see the sights. |

Positive aspects:
An incredible place, slightly off the beaten track, but worth the effort of visiting. Eating and drinking in the square was a pleasant and easily affordable experience. The visit to the Rotunda was very moving and well signed explaining the terrible occurances in WWII. The architecture round the square is well worth the UNESCO status.

Positive aspects:
There's not a lot to it, although it's a world heritage site. You could 'do' it in about 4-5 hours. I tried various restaurants in the square and they were all OK. The square itself is very pretty and there is a trumpeter on the town hall - my guidebook didn't mention that. For Jewish travelers, the synagogue is still there, and externally impressive, but it might prove difficult to get inside.
Negative aspects:
It's a dreadful journey in a minibus, taking 5 - 6 hours from Warsaw. The taxi does it in 4 hours and costs at least 500 PL. Getting there by train is virtually impossible. However, I'm glad I went, but I wouldn't go again. The staff at the hotel are frankly unfamiliar with the needs of foreign tourists. The shops would do well if they went up-market and catered to the needs of foreign travellers. At the moment they are very basic indeed. It has potential. |
