Ross from Switzerland stayed for 1 night(-s)

Positive aspects:
Torun is a gorgeous city, full of historical buildings and interesting places. I'd love to come back some day and explore the castles and ruins in the surrounding countryside. There is a library with an excellent collection of ancient books and reproductions.
Negative aspects:
Don't arrive on the day before a long holiday period. Finding the right bus, to Brodnica, in Warsaw was a real nightmare. If travelling to a smallish place, by car or bus, you will not see any signposts until quite close to the destination. Thus you need to be very confident that you are following the right route.

Dag from Norway stayed for 2 night(-s)

Positive aspects:
Torun is one of the most beatuful towns in Poland, with a very beatiful Town Hall on the main square. The view from the tower is very nice. The historic core is typical for hanseatic towns along or close to the Baltic sea, with historic buildings of related design and building material (brick). The town wall towards the river is intact. The best advice is really to just stroll around, vistit the medieval churches, with a possible visit to the Copernicus museum. If you want to see more than one museum, you could buy a combined ticket for them. A map showing their location is included on the ticket. One of the additional museums is a collection of Polish farm houses, another one is the ruins of the fort of the Teutonic Knights. I recommend a visit to both, and also a visit to the Town Hall.
