Joan from United Kingdom stayed for 2 night(-s)

Positive aspects:
Tarnow is a very picturesque town with a lot of history. 1 hour on train from Krakow. I returned for memorial services and Jewish Cultural events commemorating the murders/deportations in June 1942 organised by Adam Bartosz, Director of the Muzeum Okregowe. We ate several times at the Tatrzanska restaurant on ul Krakowska. Excellent food, delicious ice cream. friendly staff but not somewhere to eat if in rush to catch a train.

Andreas from Germany stayed for 3 night(-s)

Positive aspects:
Excellent choice is the very informative Gypsy-exhibit. We have also visited the old Jewish quarter, the big Jewish and Katholic cemiteries and the two wooden churches. All very interesting and nice. People are very friendly and helpful. The Tourist information office is well equipped. We have been in the restaurant Tatrzanska and in some restaurants on the Rynek. They were all well. Many places were well marked and explained in Polish, English and German language. Tarnow is an excellent place in order to see places in the surrounding. We have gone by train on order to see the beautiful cities of Rzeszow, Jaroslaw and Przemysl (chance to go to Lwow by bus) as well as the salt mine in Bochnia. All can be recommended. I would like to come back in order to see more.
Negative aspects:
People in the tourist information office spoke poor English, were not very outspoken, although the office itself was well equipped. The number of restaurants in Tarnow seems to be fairly limited.
