Positive aspects:
Do not drive to Oscwiecim. Make sure you get a taxi. Only 190PLN. Have the hotel arrange it for you. 
Negative aspects:
No negative aspects. Although, it is very cold in November, bring a wool sweater. It is an industrial town. Don't expect there to be things to do other than visiting the camps. |

Positive aspects:
We only visited Auschwits I and Auschwitz II - Birkenau. Very impressive. It makes you humble. Not only for what the Germans did to the Jews, the Polish and other people. But also what can happen in a war. Also these days. When you visit Auschwitz you must not visit an expensive hotel. We did not visit the city Oswiecim. Polish people we spoke are friendly and helpful.
Negative aspects:
The roads in Poland, so also in Oswiecim, are bad. Print the route from internet before you leave home. Our navigator in the car was only for western Europe. |
